President

Greg Weiner brings more than 25 years of leadership experience at Eastern Metal Works, supported by a career that began in the field as a foreman. His background provides a practical, execution-driven understanding of fabrication and erection operations, allowing him to identify risks early and drive effective solutions.



Greg holds multiple industry certifications, including CWI Inspector, AWS, UT Level 1, and AutoCAD Levels 1 & 2. As President, he maintains direct oversight of the sales, estimating, and operations teams, participates in project-specific negotiations, and remains engaged throughout execution to ensure commitments made during bidding are delivered in the field.

Chief Operating Officer

Joe Orlando has over 30 years of experience in structural engineering and construction management, bringing both design and field perspectives to EMW’s operations. A licensed Professional Engineer and graduate of the University of Connecticut, Joe spent eight years in structural design before transitioning into construction leadership.



Prior to joining EMW, Joe served 19 years at A.P. Construction Company, advancing to Senior Vice President of Operations and overseeing more than $500 million in completed projects. As COO, Joe is directly accountable for project execution, staffing, fabrication workflow, and field performance, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract requirements.

Coordinator of Business Development

Mike Buswell has over 15 years of experience in business development and client management. His role focuses on maintaining continuity between preconstruction commitments and project execution by supporting client communication, managing expectations, and capturing feedback throughout the project lifecycle.



Mike works closely with EMW’s leadership and project teams to support repeat business, long-term partnerships, and consistent delivery across all projects.

Project Director

Adam Nankervis has over 20 years of experience in field operations and project management, with a strong focus on coordination, schedule control, and execution. A U.S. Navy Veteran and former Director of Field Services for a global robotics manufacturer, Adam led field teams and client support across hundreds of complex projects. At Eastern Metal Works, he oversees project 

management operations to ensure clear scopes, rapid issue resolution, and reliable delivery for general contractors.

Senior Estimator

Michele Chernesky brings more than 35 years of estimating experience across commercial, institutional, infrastructure, and industrial markets. She is responsible for developing accurate, complete estimates for structural steel and miscellaneous metals, including material takeoffs, labor forecasting, scope definition, and bid qualifications.



Michele remains involved beyond bid award, supporting scope clarification, change management, and cost accountability throughout project execution to ensure alignment between estimated scope and field performance.

Maintenance and Facility Manager

Judson attended CFP-UNSIMANS and earned certification in Welding/Fabrication as well as Detailing and Interpretation of Blueprints in 1989. He also attends JK Technical School where he earned a certification for industrial Technical Mechanic in 1992. Judson’s career in the steel industry began in 1996 when he worked for Edelman Metalworks in the position of layout and fabrication man. In 2001 he joined (EWC) Erection and Welding Contractors. He began as a Fabricator and was promoted to a lead man. In 2007, Judson was promoted to EWC’s Shop Foreman. In 2011, Judson was promoted to EWC’s Production Manager. In 2014, Judson’s was promoted to EWC’s Plant Manager. In 2023, Judson started work for Eastern Metal Works as Maintenance and Facility Manager. He is well versed in commercial construction, AISC COSP, AWS, ASTM, OSHA 10 hours and 30 hours Construction Outreach Course (certified) as HASMAT standards. Judson’s education includes a certificate for Safety Forklift Operation in 2006, certificate from Hobart Institute for Welding for the non-Welder in 2007. 10 Commandments for business failure and 8 practices for management work by EWC in 2009. In 2011, Judson attended a 40-hour AWS seminar for D1.1 in Hartford CT.

Operation Manager

Mark Winkler has worked for over 45 years in the structural steel, miscellaneous and custom steel fabrication industry. His background includes, sales, estimating, engineering, project managing, shipping and receiving, fabrication, welding, erecting, quality control, previous Certified Welding Inspector (non-destructive testing), Plant Safety and human resources. He has an associate degree in Mechanical Engineering and has working knowledge of AWS, AISC, NOMMAA, ASME and OSHA Standards. His qualifications and experience make him well suited for the position of Operations Manager.

Adrian began his career in construction industry in 2006 he has worked for architectural design firm & construction management firm giving him insight throughout the design/construction build process as both a subcontractor and a general contractor. He has worked as a project manager in the structural steel/miscellaneous metals since 2009. His background includes. 


AutoCad design development/ 3D construction modeling (BIM) . Adrian is a graduate of Porter and Chester Institute - Certificate in Architectural and Civil CAD Technology.


He has worked on many high-profile new construction and renovation jobs across the Tri state area, With over 17 years of extensive experience he has develop quality relationships with clients, subcontractors, and design team Members . Working with the EMW team & the various steel fabrication management software over the years Adrian has continued to hone his skills and be proven to be a vital link between shop and field operations resulting in seamless less transition. His background in AutoCAD & Archicad 3D modeling software (BIM) has served well in detecting and effectively solving problems inevitably occur during course construction.

Project Manager

Scott Thomas began in the steel industry in 2009 at Eastern Metal Works. He started as a purchasing agent and moved up the ranks to Project Manager in 2012. In 2013 Scott became the Detailing Manager to manage all detailing phases with in-house detailing and out-of-house detailing. Scott along with the other members of EMW’steam created and implemented EMW’s detailing standards to suit all EMW’s design purposes. He has experience dealing with contract documents and project specifications to make sure all detailing requirements are met. Scott also has experience in all aspects of structural and misc. steel throughout the company. Scott works with AutoCAD/Tekla/Fabsuite & Raptor programs.

Agnes brings over 25 years of experience in construction estimating project management and superintending. Agnes has a verifiable track record of successful projects of all sizes, from small commercial to multi-million-dollar complex developments. Known for her good attitude and attention to details, Agnes delivers quality outcomes, realistic schedules and maintains costs through coordination, open communication and creative mind set. The positive thinking, combined with proactive approach and vast field experience, ensures that projects are executed smoothly and to the highest standards. Her record in managing diverse crews, collaborating with Architects, Engineers, and Building Officials, and effectively working with Clients, promotes project goals, both financial and program supportive. At Eastern, Agnes applies her technical expertise and construction knowledge in structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
